My DREAM KITCHEN

This 1978 kitchen was completely gutted - all walls, ceiling and flooring down to the studs and subfloor. Subfloor needed to be removed and replaced due to "black mold". Additional structural support was needed in the crawlspace to prevent additional settling and levelling concrete was needed to level out the floor on the south side. 

We were able to raise the ceiling in most of the kitchen to 8 ft, providing a soffit to enclose a drain pipe running lengthwise along the west side in front of the bay window. 

All appliances were re-used as they were slowly replaced to stainless steel over the years. Only the microwave over the range was new.

All new cabinets, quartz countertops, LVP flooring, decorative backsplash and lighting.

A coffee nook and full height pantry was added at the south wall.
